I believe:

Everyone can love their home.

Organization, function and beauty go hand in hand.

How a space feels is paramount. Warm, comfortable, and inviting rooms make a house feel like home.

What you like is what matters. While I keep up with design trends, the starting place for a home you love is your taste and style.

Anne Smyers is the principal designer and owner of House to Home One-Day Redecorating, which she founded in 2010 to provide the northern Virginia, southern Maryland and Washington DC areas with affordable interior design service for clients who want to redo their homes starting with what they already own.

She studied with Lauri Ward of Use What You Have Interiors, the pioneer of one day decorating, and is a certified Redesigner with the Interior Redecorator’s Network. She continues to update her skills with ongoing education including coursework at the Corcoran College of Art and Design, Benjamin Moore Color Workshops, and feng shui study. Her other loves are t’ai chi and art quilting.

“Anne helped give me a vision of what the space could look like as well as a clear path to get there. She has a great eye and knows what works and what doesn’t. She was professional, easy to work with, and both practical and creative. I would highly recommend her to anyone!”  -KC, Reston
